Good Afternoon,
We had four more kids out sick today. I am trying to get fresh air in the room when the kids leave for specials. However, it has been so cold and some kids have complained about the coolness of the room. If possible, please send in a "school" sweater or sweatshirt. This way it can be left here and used as needed.
Homework notes:
* There are 2 math problems in your child's bag. Everyone must do the problem Lynnie Loves Flies. The second problem is called Wally's Walnut Purchase, and it is optional. The optional problem is much more difficult but is considered a 2nd grade task. The problems will be collected on Friday morning.
* Please have your child fill in his/her reading log neatly. Remember they are due on Friday.
* Your child also has a spelling list of 100 words in their bag. You can see how well he/she did on his/her test. I am hoping each kid can spell 80 of them by the end of the year. Please keep this sheet at home to use for practice. I suggest flash cards.
* IF you wish to order books from the current order, please send in the form by Friday. This will be 1 of the 2 remaining book orders sent out this year. I will send another in early May (For summer choices).
