I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend. It was nice to get outside and "play" and spend some time with family and friends. Today we read the story Princess Penelope by Todd Mack. This is a story about a little girl who is convinced her life parallels that of a princess. The students will be using this story as they write a response to literature this week.
Our current science unit focuses on properties and the states of matter. We will be working on this unit through mid May. The unit after that will focus on plants, and we will talk about them as a system. In order to get ready for this unit, we will start our seeds this Friday. Once we get into this unit, we will be using the garden as a teaching tool. Each classroom has been asked to find a parent or two that would like to be that classroom's garden liaison.
