Welcome Back! I hope everyone had a great summer. I am very excited for the start, and I am looking forward to a fabulous year. Today we worked on establishing some of our routines and expectations. I also read the story The Kissing Hand to the students. We discussed how kids miss their families when they are at school and that parents miss their kids as well. Each child will have a picture to show you tonight, and he/she should explain the story to you.
I will be hosting a parent night on Wednesday, September 5th @ 5:30. This will give you an overview of classroom and a brief discussion of the approaches used. I asked that you e-mail me or send a note to me if you plan on attending. I will have a movie going for the kids in Mr. Hubbard's room.
