Happy Wednesday,
Today we had a full morning of music, French and spelling groups.
To continue our studies during Black History month, we read Freedom on the Menu by Carole Boston Weatherford. Told from the perspective of a young girl growing up in Greensboro, North Carolina, this fictional story recounts the sit-ins of 1960 during the civil rights movement.
I had some excited students on my hands this afternoon; everyone was glad the ski and ride program was a go!
Best,
Britta
Here is a picture from last night. We were hosted by the Brazilian Ambassador at his residence. It was a fun evening. -Tom
