We started the morning with an assembly on bus safety and went outside to practice safe bus evacuations. This was very similar to the exercise that we did during the Fall. During Writer's Workshop, the students paired up and worked with the picture book Good Dog Carl. We also used this book last week. Today, the students had to come up with their own words for the book. Their goal was to make sure their words included the 5 basic elements of a narrative. Today's specials were PE and Library.

*There is a new 1st grade math game in your child's bag.
