It's hard to believe that the end is here. I wanted to start with a genuine THANK YOU for the class gift. That is very kind of all of you and my wife and I will certainly enjoy a night out.
It was so nice to celebrate the last day with my class' traditional breakfast. Before we ate, I talked to the students about how proud I was of them and referenced my year long goal for them. In September, I told the kids that I wanted to have a class that thought about others. It is something that I have referenced throughout the year and the kids were spectacular at meeting that goal. I told them breakfast was a way of celebrating our work together but that their work with this is what stood out the most.
I do hope you all have a great summer. For those of you who are returning as a 2nd grader, please send me an email this summer of what you are up to. I would love to hear from you.
