Good Morning,
Wow! What a fantastic year. I can't believe it flew by that quickly. I can honestly say this has been such a rewarding and amazing year. I had the biggest class that I have ever had at Waitsfield but it was one of the easiest classes I have ever taught. In a year when so many are finding their jobs challenging and pondering different career choices, I found reward, fulfillment, and enjoyment. People had asked me why this group has been easy and my answer is simple. They all go home and get a hug from someone that loves them and their basic needs are being met. It truly shows how important good families are and you all nailed it! So, thank you, thank you for a year that reminded me how much fun this job can be.
Today we had an assembly to honor some teachers who are leaving our school. It was certainly a great way of sending all of them off. Ms. Ashley joined us for our breakfast and the students all presented her with pictures and a note of memories they have from working with her. She was certainly a class favorite and the kids are going to miss working with her next year.
I want to thank all of you for the incredibly generous gifts that I received today. That is above and beyond and very much appreciated.
That is all for now. I hope you all have a great summer and get a chance to relax and enjoy a piece of it. The school year started with new Covid fears and a wonder how and if we would get through it. Our work as a community allowed for a fairly normal year and for that I am grateful.
